Career Day at Maplewood Elementary!

On Friday, May 5th, RMPJC was invited to Maplewood Elementary for Career Day! This was the first time that Maplewood has ever hosted a career day, so it felt very special to be there. RMPJC talked to three 5th grade classrooms about the importance of nonviolence, activism, and grassroots organizing. Maplewood 5th graders were able to connect their experience with de-escalation in the face of violence when it comes to bullies and learn about diverse careers.

Teachers at Maplewood are interested in getting involved in activism, and some teachers want to collaborate on a lesson plan! RMPJC is excited to connect with our neighbors in Greeley and we look forward to strengthening our community!
