Recent Developments RE: Courts Rule to Halt KXL and DAPL

Thank you to our allies at Lakota People's Law Project for the following email newsletters: 7/9/2020: Inconceivable! The Encirclement Film

Click Here To See The Film! At the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant near Denver, people spent years protesting and getting arrested. In 1983 they decided to try something completely different. This was the action that lead directly to the founding of the Boulder Peace Center, later renamed Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center. We welcome you to see this inspiring film, directed and edited by Erik Sween, featuring Chet Tchozewski, and produced by Jeff Gipe.

The campaign shares the disappointment of thousands of Coloradans who had already acted in the past week to sign the petition to place Initiative 174 on the ballot and who learned today that the Court has nullified a safe alternative to petitioning in the midst of a pandemic. Initiative 174 would create 2,500-foot safety zones to protect homes, schools, water sources, and other vulnerable areas from the serious health risks associated with close proximity to fracking operations.
