Lifetime Volunteer: Karon Aronson
Activist and dedicated volunteer. Karen passed away on Tuesday, October 10th after a long struggle with cancer. We recognize her dedication and support of RMPJC and many other environmental and social change organizations and causes. May you rest in peace. We shall miss you!
Volunteer of the Year: Elise Covas
CU intern with a passion in social and environmental justice. Elise helped carry out Marshal trainings and took over many administrative duties throughout the year.
Lifetime Achievement: Richard Garcia
Founder of Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition and subsidiary projects to ensure public education is better meeting needs of students of color, by actively involving parents in the educational experiences of their children.
Youth Peacemakers: Peers Building Justice
Educates and empowers youth to prevent interpersonal and sexual violence while promoting social justice in our communities
Peacemaker of the Year: Laurel Herndon
Founder, Executive Director and Managing Attorney at Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder. Laurel is highly knowledgeable about all of the constant changes of Immigration laws, rules and regulations and she persistently makes her clients aware of that information.
