Daniel Ellsberg Week - 2024!

From our friends at Defuse Nuclear War: Daniel Ellsberg Week 2024 is upon us! From June 10-16, we’ll be commemorating Pentagon Papers Whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg’s life and work by teaching and learning about nuclear weapons and calling for an end to war and the policies that keep the world on the brink of nuclear war.

To mark this week of action, Norman Solomon has written an article titled “The Absence – and Presence – of Daniel Ellsberg.” The piece notes that above all “Ellsberg was preoccupied with opposing policies that could lead to nuclear war.”

This week and year-round, we honor Ellsberg by fighting for the change that he knew the world needed, like eliminating land-based nuclear weapons.

This week has brought the premiere of a powerful short documentary – A Common Insanity: A Conversation with Daniel Ellsberg About Nuclear Weapons – and you can watch it now for free by clicking here.
