Welcome the Hinóno'éí (Arapaho) Home Events, October 7th

When: Sunday, October 7th, 10:30 am - 6 pm Where: Boulder High School, 1604 Arapahoe Ave. Arapaho Worship Service 10:30 - 11:30 am Interfaith Lunch (must purchase tickets in advance) 11:30 am - 1 pm Arapaho performances and presentations including dancing, drumming, hand games, language lessons, storytelling, Q&A with Arapaho leaders. 1 - 6 pm Celebrate Boulder's Indigenous Peoples Day by welcoming the Arapaho people home. Almost two years ago, a small group of native and non-native Boulder Valley residents established relationship with the Hinóno'éí (Arapaho) people and asked how the Hinóno'éí (Arapaho) want to relate to the land and current residents of Boulder Valley. The Hinóno'éí (Arapaho) said Boulder was their home and they want to know and be known by the the people of Boulder Valley. This gathering is beginning of that relationship for many of us. We are expecting 120 Hinóno'éí (Arapaho) guests - to learn from them, about them, and let them know who we are too.
