CIRC Community Meeting, February 28th

When: Wednesday, February 28th, 6pm - 7:30pm Where: UUCB Church, 5001 Pennsylvania Ave, Boulder, CO RSVP: erika@coloradoimmigrant.org This meeting will be to discuss Sheriff Joe Pelle and the notifications his office is still giving to ICE. This meeting is designed for our members and leaders to learn more about this issue and discuss next steps. Please bring directly impacted people! We will provide interpretation.

Atomic Film Series: The Day After, February 22nd

Can anyone survive this ultimate nightmare. . .or the nuclear winter that is sure to follow?" Event is free and open to the public.

Earth Day Action: Keep the frack off open space, April 22nd

When: Sunday, April 22nd 10am-5pm Where: Highway 52 and East Boulder County Line Rd There is no better way to celebrate your love for Colorado and this planet than by showing up with us on Earth Day to take a stand for the people and places endangered by fracking. Songs for Peace and Protest Gathering, February 23rd

When: Friday February 23rd, 7:00pm-8:30pm Where: Izaak Walton Clubhouse, 18 Sunset St. Longmont, CO We are a loosely affiliated group of activist singers/musicians that are teaching songs to the community that can be used at actions, rallies, vigils etc. "How can we use music to embolden our social and environmental justice movements?"

Fracking Ballot Initiative Training this Saturday! February 17th

We hope to see you this Saturday (Feb 17) from 12:30-3:30 p.m. (Boulder Public Library - Meadows Branch 4800 Baseline Rd). This event will be free! We will have light snacks, but please feel free to bring a bag lunch, water bottle, notebook and pen with you. Invite friends! Community Rights & Grassroots Power, February 14th

When: Wednesday, February 14th, 6pm - 8pm Where: Humanities Building, Room 135 on CU Boulder Campus The Boulder County Protectors will be screening "So Your Community is about to be Fracked..." presentation and a short movie "Forget Shorter Showers". This event serves to provide basic foundational knowledge around community rights, the need to organize independently of the two-party system, and options for joining efforts to protect the local area.

Black History Month Workshop for Families & Caregivers, February 24th

When: Saturday, February 24th, 10:30am - 12:30pm Where: First Congregational Church, 1128 Pine St. Boulder, CO Join SURJ Families of Boulder County for an interactive workshop on how to recognize and challenge anti-Black stereotypes, and how to integrate positive representations of Blackness every month of the year. This workshop is for parents, caregivers, educators, and anyone who has kids in their life. $5 suggested donation. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Anti-War Demonstration, February 10th

When: Saturday, February 10th, 11am - 12pm Where: Canyon and Broadway, Boulder, CO We'll carry signs opposing wars against Russia, Syria, North Korea, etc. Let's be visible in our opposition to war! An Evening with Alex Landau, February 20th

When: Tuesday, February 20th 6:30pm - 8pm Where: Old Main Chapel Theatre, CU Boulder Campus, Boulder Alex Landau is a Denver native who received a $795,000 settlement from the Denver Police Department (one of the largest settlements in Denver history) after surviving a severe beating at the hands of three Denver police officers after a routine traffic stop in 2009.
