Remembering Adrienne Anderson
September 7th marked the 10-year anniversary of the passing of a beautiful friend of the Peace Center and powerful environmental advocate, Adrienne Anderson. Adrienne was brought on as a staff member of the Peace Center after, due to industry pressure, she was terminated as a CU professor for exposing environmental crimes. In her work with the Peace Center, Adrienne revealed the illegal dumping of plutonium waste from Rocky Flats at Lowry Landfill in Denver. She will always be remembered as a strong and courageous advocate for justice who never shrank from a challenge.
