Join us at Boulder Farmers' Market to Commemorate 79th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Join us on Wednesday, August 7th from 5:30-7:30pm at the Boulder Farmers' Market to fold peace cranes to commemorate the 79 year anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and to honor all victims of war, past and present.

This August 6th and 9th mark the anniversaries of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Across the world, and in our own state, communities continue to bear the scars of nuclear weapons use and development. Here in Colorado, the landscape still bears the radioactive memory of Rocky Flats, which produced 70,000 plutonium pits for nuclear weapons. Join us at our table between the Boulder Farmers' Market and the Boulder Bandshell and fold a paper crane as a symbol of hope and peace as part of the annual Cranes for our Future initiative sponsored by our friends at the Nuclear Threat Initiative.

When: Wednesday, August 7th from 5:30 - 7:30pm

Where: Find us at a table on the grassy area between the Boulder Farmers' Market and the Boulder Bandshell off of Broadway and Canyon in Boulder
