Join a screening of the new film, An Artist Responds to War, followed by a hands-on Art and Activism Training!

Come ready to be inspired to make art and change the world!

This film screening and art workshop offers an inspiring look into the important role of art and performance in antiwar activism.

We will begin with a screening of the new documentary, An Artist Responds to War, a new film portrait of Peter Schumann, founder of the Bread & Puppet Theater, and his use of his art and theater productions to protest war throughout his life, from the Vietnam War in the 1960s to the current genocide in Gaza.

Following the screening of this film, join the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center for a hands-on art and activism training that will include screen printing, block printing, banner painting, puppet making, and more! Come ready to get creative and be sure to bring clothes you don’t mind getting paint on!
