Annual Rally and March to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., January 21st

When: Monday, January 21st, 11am - 1pm Where: St. John's Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine Street, Boulder The Rally will include music, brief tributes to Dr. King by City and County elected and appointed officials, Carolyn Bninski, staff member from RMPJC, and will feature excerpts of Dr. King's "Beyond Viet Nam" speech. "Democracy in Chains" a VIDEO talk by Nancy MacClean, January 16th

When: Wednesday, January 16th, 7 pm Where: CU Boulder, room TBD Nancy MacClean, whose book (Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America) uncovered the history of the well-heeled radical right's vast network and explains why this movement doesn't want simply to change who rules, but to fundamentally alter the rules of democratic governance as we know it in the U.S. The talk will be followed by discussion.

Anti-War Demonstration, January 12th

When: Saturday, January 12th, 11am - 12pm Where: Broadway and Canyon, Boulder, CO We will be back at Canyon and Broadway in Boulder. We'll carry signs opposing war and in favor of diplomacy and in spending our tax dollars on health care, education, jobs programs and food for all. CU Volunteer Fair, February 1st

Growing Gardens is currently hiring for the 2019 Internship program. Intern opportunities include: Sustainable Farming Greenhouse Management Environmental Education Nonprofit Marketing & Outreach Nonprofit Operations & Management These opportunities are an amazing way to build skills in sustainable agriculture, environmental education, food security and non-profit management. In addition to being a unique learning and work experience, course credit and stipends are offered depending on the internship.
