Anti-War Demonstration, December 1st

When: Saturday, December 1st, 11am - 12pm Where: Canyon and Broadway, Boulder, CO We'll carry signs opposing wars against Russia, Syria, North Korea, Afghanistan, etc. Let's be visible in our opposition to war! We'll have some signs or bring your own. More info carolyn@rmpjc.org or 720-509-3378. We'll hold anti-war demonstrations most (but not all) Saturdays. Watch our emails for the announcements. The demo will be cancelled in the event of the following weather: snow, rain, high winds or a temperature below 30 degrees by 10 am

RMPJC at Twisted Pine, December 1st

When: Saturday, December 1st, 12 pm - 10 pm Where: Canyon and Broadway, Boulder, CO Kick off December with us at Twisted Pine! RMPJC will be hanging out at Twisted Pine all day spreading awareness about our work and mission. $1 from each pint throughout the day is donated to RMPJC. George Lakey Book Signing

When: Tuesday, November 27th, 7:30 pm Where: Boulder Bookstore, 1107 Pearl St. Vouchers to attend are $5 and are good for $5 off the author's featured book or a purchase the day of the event. Vouchers can be purchased now at the store, over the phone, or at the door. More information here.

Veterans for Peace Speaker and Potluck, December 2nd

When: Sunday, December 2nd, 6 pm Where: First United Methodist, 1421 Spruce St, Boulder The speaker will be Nathan Schneider, a faculty member in the CU Communications Department. Nathan has published a book about cooperatives and will speak about economic democracy. Potluck dinner is at 6. Nathan will speak at 7.

Discussion about the November election, November 13th

When: Tuesday, November 13th, 7 pm Where: Muenzinger Building, Room E113, CU Boulder Campus The RMPJC Global Peace Collective is inviting progressives to an informal discussion about the meaning of and follow up to the November election. We plan on discussing questions like these: What are the consequences of the November election for progressive causes? Is participation in elections a sensible practice for progressive organizations? What steps should we take now to organize people around issues and create a movement for change? What can be done to counter the mood of despair that enervates many progressive people?

When: Saturday, November 17th, 12 - 1 pm Where: Canyon and Broadway, Boulder, CO Julian has been held in solitary confinement without access to the internet at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for several months. He has been in the embassy for over 6 years. He is in poor health. If he leaves the embassy, his lawyers and supporters fear that he would be handed over to the U.S. government.
