Tell Congress: No war with North Korea

On Thursday, Reps. John Conyers (MI) and Thomas Massie (KY) and Sen. Ed Markey (MA) were joined by more than 50 members of Congress in introducing new legislation2 to keep President Trump from starting a war with North Korea without congressional authorization. Congress needs to take back its power over war and peace -- and this legislation does just that.

When: Thursday, October 26th, 7pm - 8:30 pm Where: Trinity Presbyterian Church, 7755 Vance Dr, Arvada, CO Environmental Information Network (EIN) presenters will speak about Rocky Flats contamination, redistribution of contaminants, flawed monitoring, health risks of exposures then and now, and why it is vital to keep Rocky Flats closed to public access. This will be followed by an overview of the Jefferson Parkway that is proposed by the Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority or JPPHA.

How to Make Peace with North Korea, October 21st

When: Saturday, October 21st, 2pm Where: Engineering Building, Rm 105, CU Boulder Eric Sirotkin of the National Campaign to End the Korean War will speak about a new approach with N. Korea, one that builds relationships and reduces tensions, rather than marching toward war. He believes It is time to reject rather than escalate the militarization of Korea, to talk more, not less, and to formalize relations, not as a reward, but as a necessary preventative measure.
