Join the Boulder Chapter of NAACP, Boulder Parenting in Diversity, Boulder's chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice, and other community groups for a march demonstrating zero tolerance for recent Boulder Police Department racial profiling, and a need for an independent oversight board.
This is a zero-escalation, family-friendly event. We are discouraging any police agitation. The route is approximately 1 mile, from Naropa to the Boulder Police Department.
Please bring signs. Suggestions: - Black Lives Matter - Stop Racial Profiling - No Justice No Peace - White Silence is Violence - We Will Not Be Silent - Demiliterize police - Oversight Now - Stop Police Brutality Note: White folks, please avoid signs with phrases like "Hands Up Don't Shoot" which references risk or experiences not aligned with your identity.
