Get to know the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient: Theresa Halsey

Theresa Halsey, Hunkpapa Lakota tribal member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribes from North and South Dakota, from the Wakpala community. Theresa is a radio producer of the weekly radio program, Indian Voices on KGNU Community radio on Sundays, 3-4 PM MST. She has been with KGNU since 1983. Theresa is a grassroots organizer, educator, Mental Health Researcher, adviser to the Oyate Indigenous Student Group and Native American Law Students at CU-Boulder. Theresa is a Climate Justice Leader, member of the Native American Healing Board School Project and the Native American Journalist Association, tri-executive of the American Indian Alumni Association.
