The Laws of the Bomb with Robert Del Tredici

10:45 am – 11:45 am

Presentation and Q & A

By "The Laws of the Bomb" I am not referring to the laws of physics but to the laws of perception. In spite of the dreadful nature of the Bomb, it has proven time and again to be culturally elusive and often downright invisible. It has somehow been able to stop thought while it redefines its role, deepens its hold, and proliferates throughout our world. Nine months after Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed, Einstein expressed what I have called The First Law of the Bomb when he wrote "the unleashed power of the atom has changed everything except our mode of thinking and therefore we drift towards unparallel catastrophe."
