Are We in Danger Of A Nuclear War? In the past couple of years there has been escalation of tension and military exercises by US/NATO and Russia. The military build up has escalated this week. Experts, including Prof. Stephen Cohen and Noam Chomsky are very alarmed about the dangers of nuclear war created by recent developments. One of our goals for this year is to greatly increase the number of monthly supporters so that we can be stronger, more effective and expand the work we are able to do . Protest to vote NO on TPP at Boulder Democratic Party Truman Dinner

ACTION THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 5 AGAINST THE TPP. Leafletting and holding signs about the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) outside the Truman Dinner this Sunday, June 5 -7:15 p.m. The Truman Dinner is a fundraiser for the Boulder County Democratic Party. Meet on the southern patio of the UMC at CU Boulder at 5 p.m. The dinner is in the Glenn Miller Ballroom in the UMC. We’ll have some signs, banners and flyers. We are asking Congress people and Senators to vote against the TPP. For more info on the TPP, go to www.citizen.org/TPP. If you want to participate, we ask you to be polite and nonviolent. Many, if not most, Boulder County Democrats are opposed to the TPP.

Free Community Organizing Training!

This Community Organizing Training is a three day training session (see schedule below), introducing participants to fundamental principles of community organizing as a tool for creating social change. In addition, participants will learn more about collaborating by building new relationships, how to develop campaign strategies, organizing effective actions and more. 2016 Colorado Ballot Initiatives which have been endorsed by the Rocky Mountain Peace and JusticeCenter are outlined below. People can help in a variety of ways by contacting the organizations directly. 2016 CO Community Rights Ballot Initiative: Proposed Colorado Community Rights Amendment (http://www.coloradansforcommunityrights.org/ccr-amendment/) In November 2016, Coloradans can vote for local democracy. With enough signatures from registered Colorado voters, the Colorado Community Rights Amendment will be on the ballot. This amendment to the Colorado Constitution secures the right of local community self-government. It gives communities that choose to do so the power to pass local laws
