Iraq - Key Links

Key links

One of the best, if not the best, anti-war site is www.antiwar.com. This site provides invaluable information on Iraq and many of the other hot spots around the world, information that the mainstream media fails to provide.

Other very good sites include www.counterpunch.org, www.dissidentvoice.org, and Foreign Policy in Focus (www.fpif.org).

Two other valuable sites are http://www.dahrjamailiraq.com/ and http://www.juancole.com/. Dahr Jamail went to Iraq as an unembedded reporter and has done incredible work in providing a view seldom reported in the U.S. Juan Cole, a professor of history at the University of Michigan, is an expert on the Middle East and South Asia and provides insightful commentary on his site on the events in these regions.

One of the leading anti-war groups in the U.S. is United for Peace & Justice and its site is http://www.unitedforpeace.org/. Another important national group is Act Now to Stop the War and End Racism (ANSWER) and its site is http://answer.pephost.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ANS_homepage.

Three other key groups are Veterans for Peace (www.veteransforpeace.org), Iraq Veterans against the War (www.ivaw.org) and Military Families Speak Out (http://www.mfso.org/).
