Get Active! Join a Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Collective! Your voice is important and your participation is needed to create a just, peaceful and sustainable world. 1st and 3rd Mondays Economics Collective discusses and plans actions related to the current economic crisis and seeks to create a just and sustainable economy through organizing at the grassroots. 7 p.m. at RMPJC. 2nd and 4th Mondays Middle East Collective focuses on creating a just peace based on human rights and international law in regard to the Israeli/Palestinian conlfict. 7 p.m. at RMPJC. 2nd and 4th Tuesdays Citizens for Pesticide Reform is currently working on making Boulder a Dandelion Friendly City, and on getting the City of Boulder to adopt the Precautionary Principle. They also work on getting all jurisdictions to change their mosquito abatement programs from toxic spraying to use of larvaciding and clean up of mosquito breeding grounds, and other related pesticide issues as they arise. At 6:30 PM at RMPJC. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays Everybody Eats works on achieving sustainable, healthy, affordable food for all. They are currently working with the County to locate County Open Space that can be used as a multi purpose Community Agriculture site - for education and agricultural demonstration projects, for people to have their own small plots to farm for personal use or for use by their neighborhood or community, or for a small scale farm stand operation, etc. At 6:30 PM. Works against U.S. militarism and U.S. occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. 7 p.m. at RMPJC. Thursdays Videos and Discussions for a Just and Sustainable Economy . Through conversations and action, we can create an economy that provides needs for all people and protects the planet. 7 p.m. The above meetings are held at RMPJC, 3970 Broadway, Suite 105. From Broadway and Quince, go east on Quince. Turn right at the second driveway. You'll see RMPJC in front of you.
