Saturday, February 2nd    ARVADA   Nonviolence for Social Change, an intensive two-hour Nonviolence Training, led by Betty Ball of the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center.

Roots and history of Nonviolent Action; practical applications of Nonviolent Action; role plays. Open to the Public.  Suggested donation $5, but no one turned away for lack of funds.

*Directions to Arvada United Methodist Church: Turn West on 68th Avenue off of Wadsworth.  Proceed West to Carr Street.  The Church is on the left (South) side of the street.

Sunday, Feb 3   DENVER The film "The Last Supper" documents the construction of the wall around the Palestinian community of Abu Dis, which cut them off from their neighbors and from Jerusalem. A family intended to have a "last supper" with their neighbors on the other side of the wall before the final gap was closed, but it was not to be. 

Following the film, Gary Anderson will lead a discussion about the humanitarian impact of the wall.  3 P.M. Regis University, Conference Center 3333 Regis Boulevard, Denver, Entrance 1, Parking Lot 5. Co-sponsored by: Regis University Justice Education Program. Free.

What is happening to our civil liberties in the name of protecting us from terrorism? Is it worth it and do we need to trade our civil liberties for security? Come hear from Cathy Hazouri, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union, Dave Koppel of the Independence Institute and others about this important issue. The event will include panelists with divergent views on this issue.
